Hi guys,
I've got some GPS info from our ride at Frick this past Saturday the 26th.
Here's a link to the actual data file, in case you want to use it or save it yourself (e.g., in Google Earth):
http://www.mudbloodandbeer.com/gps/20080426_jonmccune.kmlHere's that data overlaid on Google Maps:

Here's a graph of speed and elevation vs distance from the Garmin Training Center software (for Windows) that comes with the Garmin 305:

Technical info:
I saved the data from my Garmin 305 GPS unit to a KML file using a program for Max OS X called LoadMyTracks. I opened it in Google Earth and saved just the part from this ride to a distinct KML file. Jim kindly made it available at the above URL. Then, if you go to
http://maps.google.com/, and enter the URL for the KML file as the place you're searching for, it will produce a bright colored line on top of the map. You can then use "Link To This Page" to get a link for posting in forums like this one. To include the preview in this forum post, I took a screenshot on my system (Apple+Shift+4) and selected the relevant area. It saves a PNG by default so I opened it in Preview.app and selected "Save As" and saved a JPG. I then uploaded the JPG as an attachment to my forum post here.
I said all of this because I know at least one more of you has some sort of GPS device (Dolbee??), and it is fun to see our rides on a fancy map.
Ride on,
-Jon
